A relic is an object connected with a saint, either part of his/her mortal remains, something that he/she owned, something that has been touched by the saint or by a relic or the instruments of martyrdom.

Relics are exhibited for veneration in many churches in Rome. Relics may not be sold[1], but payment may be sought for the reliquary (container).
