Santi Mario e Compagni Martiri is a modern parish church at Via del Ponte delle Sette Miglia 245, in the suburb of La Romanina south of the University campus in Tor Vergata and east of the Circonvallazione Orientale. This is in the Torrenova district.
The patrons, SS Marius and Companions, were martyrs at Rome, traditionally a Persian family who met their fate while on pilgrimage. However, they do not appear in any liturgical calendar until the 12th century and their legend is wholly fictional.
The church was completed in 1993, but burned down completely in 2007 and rebuilt in the following year. It is built on a square plan, a low edifice with a gabled roof on the diagonal rising up so as to frame a triangular window above the entrance. The roof has deep eaves.
