WelcomeEdit

Hi, welcome to Churches of Rome Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the San Salvatore in Lauro page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- CatherineMunro (Talk) 01:22, 2009 October 23

Please stop adding the Wikimedia Commons page to the article on Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini. The photos you are linking to are not photos of Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini in ROME, but a church of the same name in Naples.

Thanks for your kind comment. Actually, I'm in Kent, England, writing up my notes for the Wiki. A tiresome illness means I have some time for that!
I'm working through the diocesan parish list, which I've used as an index, and collating it with the Wikimedia Commons "Chiese di Roma" index, to make sure all the Wiki entries have links to pix on the Commons if available.
Next time I'm in Rome, I'll see what I can do. Might combine a visit to Vitinia with a trip to Ostia.
BTW, I put a warning in the "External links" section of Sacro Cuore Immacolato di Maria about the parish website. Another Roman parish website with a fake hyperlink (unfortunately, I don't know which one) led to sophistcated malware hijacking my PC and even taking over my up-to-date virus software. That PC had to go back to factory settings.

Thanks for the info.

As you must have noticed, I've been upgrading the parish church pages that I've created to give the proper infobox format, having tracked down the code necessary. This is boring, but I've got the spare time at present.

There are two problems coming up. One, spam. An Italian fashion website managed to break in with three pages and two photos, and I suspect one of the links I posted. Is there a way available to delete these?

Two, some of the pages for churches have mistakes in the titles, such as "Vescellari" for "Vascellari". Any way of changing these? I notice that it seems to involve a redirection.

Borromini for quality, Tullio Rossi for quantity in Roman churches, I think!

Wikimedia CommonsEdit

Here is a template you can use for pictures on Wikimedia Commons and you can also upload pictures with the same licence in this wiki. You do not need to use the whole address only maybe {{Commons}}= use {{Commons|Category:Churches in Rome}} --Nina 14:59, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

I am used the Wikipedia manner doing this you can se here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Peter%27s_Basilica#External_links. The man who have started this wiki has made something the template doing it this way. But you are free to import every picture you like from Wikipedia to this wiki and use them. I don`t like externial links in the text so much.

In my wiki I use templates the same way as in Wikipedia: http://kunsthistorie.com/fagwiki/San_Carlo_alle_Quattro_Fontane --Nina 16:12, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
